The Indian cricket team in the Asia Cup 2022 is all set to replace Avesh Khan. But the big question is who will replace?
According to BCCI sources,Avesh Khan is going to be replaced by Deepak Chaher in the Asia Cup 2022.
In the pre-match press conference, Rahul David said that Avesh was not feeling well, so a call would be taken on his fitness.
He did not play in the game against Pakistan, and he did not even feature in the game against Sri Lanka prior to the toss.
Deepak Chahar was seen bowling with intensity. Deepak Chaher returned from a five-month injury absence during the ODI series in Zimbabwe.
The protocol in the Asia Cup is that if there is an injury and there is an official announcement, then that replacement player can come into the squad.
As Avesh Khan is out of the Asia Cup, India will be hoping that Deepak Chahar can come back into form.
If Pakistan loses to Afghanistan and India beats Afghanistan and if Sri Lanka beats Pakistan in the remainder of the games, then India stands a chance to play in the Asia Cup Final.
